In case you hadn’t heard the somewhat side-eye-inducing news, Ben Affleck just purchased himself a $20.5 million Los Angeles home…on Jennifer Lopez’s birthday….in the middle of ongoing divorce rumors.
According to a People source, the property has a “sense of privacy and seclusion” and is “not trendy.” As for the vibes? Apparently, “The environment is family-friendly, but it could easily be transformed into a bachelor pad,” while the neighborhood “boasts a sophisticated crowd.”
As a reminder, Ben has been living in a Brentwood rental near Jennifer Garner for the past few months while he and J.Lo try to sell their mega-mansion for $68 million.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail just spoke to multiple sources who said Bennifer’s divorce papers are “finalized,” but “not yet turned in.”
Per one insider who’s reportedly “close” to the couple, “They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t. Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.”
Thus far, neither celeb has spoken out about split rumors, and for what it’s worth, they’re (for the most part) still wearing their wedding rings!
