The Duke of York has been regularly linked to Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre’s child abuse storm.
The disgraced Prince Andrew’s controversial links to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal rears its ugly head once again as a new Amazon TV drama sensationally suggests the Duke of York couldn’t remember sleeping with Virginia Giuffre when she was a minor.
The 64-year-old is famously known for his disastrous interview with BBC Newsnight and Emily Maitlis during which he denied allegations he slept with Virginia Giuffre whilst she was underage, with the public response being calamitous as it was slammed as a “car crash.
Andrew notoriously tried to claim he cannot sweat because of the Falklands War, whilst he also said he did not regret his friendship with Epstein and claimed he stayed at his mansion for three nights as a “convenient” place to stay after Epstein was convicted of child sex offenses.
Now in Prime Video’s A Very Royal Scandal, based on the perspectives of Maitlis’ experience with the Duke, he privately was allegedly unable to recall whether he did or didn’t sleep with Giuffre.
“It was nearly 20 years ago,” ponders Prince Andrew, brought to life by Michael Sheen. “I mean, honestly, at the end of the day, how on earth is a bloke supposed to remember all the women he’s bedded?”

One interview that sent shockwaves around the globe,” the synopsis for A Very Royal Scandal reads. “Based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis and Prince Andrew over the scandalous accusations he faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre.
“A Very Royal Scandal follows the action of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview, the ground-breaking event itself and the many questions left in its wake that would change their lives forever.”
What are the allegations against Prince Andrew?
Giuffre alleges that she had sex with Prince Andrew on three occasions, including in London in 2001 when she was 17 adding she was paid $15,000, with flight logs backed them up being in the same locations at the same time.
Additionally, photographs of the son of Queen Elizabeth II and the Epstein-trafficked girl appeared online with Andew holding his arm around her waist, which those on the Duke’s side try to claim is a fake.
In August 2021, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Prince Andrew in the federal District Court for the Southern District of New York, accusing him of “sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
Andrew’s attorney denied the lawsuit’s claimed and moved to have it dismissed, which were rejected by Judge Kaplan in January 2022.
The Duke of York then settled out of court, donating money to a charity for abuse victims although criminal proceedings are still an option as the statute of limitations does not apply to cases relating to minors.
