Just a day after Brittany announced their pet duck was expecting ducklings, she found cracked eggs in their yard. Brittany revealed on June 5 via Instagram Stories, “It was a raccoon at 4:30 am this morning. I’m so sad.” Initially, Brittany had shared the happy news of the nine eggs on June 4, writing, “Our pet duck is gonna have 9 babies, can’t wait to see them.” Unfortunately, she later reported that one egg was broken, leaving eight.

The 28-year-old prefaced the news by saying that the “saga is over.” She continued, “Ducks can have eggs and they’re not fertile eggs, I learned this yesterday, so maybe they were eggs that didn’t have babies in them? I don’t know,” seemingly trying to remain positive while holding her son, Bronze in her arms.

Brittany has been known for her candidness with her Instagram followers, frequently sharing raw insights into her family life. In April, the Sports Illustrated model shared a nostalgic throwback on her Instagram story, featuring a collage of her and Patrick, also 28, from their high school days alongside a recent photo of them now. “Who knew 12 years later we would be where we are at!” she wrote, tagging the NFL star. The photos show the couple in the same pose, with Brittany sporting braces and Patrick with a buzz cut in the older picture.
