After Simone Biles posted an emotional message about her gymnastics career, the official Instagram account of the Olympics responded to her with a powerful message.
On Tuesday, Biles took to Instagram to share photos of herself with the 11 Olympic medals she has won, including the three golds and one silver she earned during the 2024 Paris Games. The 27-year-old gymnastics icon has seven golds and two each of silver and bronze.
Biles captioned her post, “6 year old me would be proud” along with teary-eyed, heart and fingers-crossed emojis.
Sure enough, it quickly went viral, with friends, fans and other personalities singing praises for Biles.
The Olympics’ Instagram account also commented on Biles’ Instagram post and highlighted her incredible career.
“What a collection!” the Olympics wrote.
It didn’t stop there for the Olympics’ social media team. It also made its own post about Biles’ medal collection and expressed how inspiring she is.
“Simone Biles isn’t just making her 6-year-old self proud—she’s inspiring and filling hearts with pride all over the world,” the post said.

Biles deserves all the recognition she’s getting. After all, she is widely considered the GOAT of the sport, and she is already the most decorated gymnast in U.S. history.
Aside from her Olympic hardware, Biles also has 30 world championship medals. It’s hard to see anyone catching up to her accomplishments anytime soon.
