out strongly against recent sexual abuse allegations, dismissing them as “categorically false” and firmly denying any wrongdoing. The 54-year-old rapper and music producer is facing fresh legal challenges, as attorney Tony Buzbee announced that up to 120 individuals are preparing to file lawsuits against Combs, alleging various forms of exploitation and abuse.
The new allegations come while Diddy is held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, awaiting trial on separate charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, to which he has pled not guilty. In response to the recent claims, his attorney Erica Wolff issued a statement on his behalf, denying all allegations of misconduct.
“As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus,” the statement read. “That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”
The accusations
Buzbee, who is leading these lawsuits, plans to file them over the next month. The accusations span a period of over two decades, from the early 2000s to the 2010s, and involve men and women who were between the ages of nine and 38 when the alleged incidents took place.
During a press conference, Buzbee highlighted some of the individual stories of alleged victims. One woman, who was 20 years old at the time, claims she was approached on the street and invited to a party hosted by Combs at a hotel. According to Buzbee, after being given a drink at the party, she recalls nothing about what happened afterward.
In another case, a 26-year-old woman alleges she met Diddy at an airport and was given a drink in his SUV. The woman reportedly woke up the next day with no memory of what had transpired, missing her underwear and shoes, and having suffered injuries to her genital area.
Perhaps the most troubling of the accusations involves a person who was only nine years old at the time of the alleged abuse. According to Buzbee, this individual was brought to New York City with hopes of landing a record deal with Bad Boy Records, where the alleged incident occurred.
