The Philadelphia Eagles star, 36, made the nod to Swift with his brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who’s also the boyfriend of the music icon, in attendance at the press conference.

Jason revealed his plans to hang up his cleats after 13 seasons in the NFL in the press conference.

The nine-time Pro Bowler had a prepared statement and broke down in tears during his speech.

But Swift fans noticed Kelce referencing lyrics to one of the 14-time Grammy winner’s songs.

“It’s only too poetic I found my career being fulfilled in the city of brotherly love, I knew that relationship all too well,” the former NFL center said.

Fans of Swift posted on social media to point out that Jason seemingly referenced the 34-year-old’s 2012 song All Too Well.

One commented with question, “Can you hear me crying?”

Another added, “It felt like she helped him a bit on that speech esp at the beginning.”

While a third wrote, “I’m crying over a football player retiring now.”

Jason referenced another Swift song, stating, “If you go above and beyond for this city, you will be rewarded above your wildest dreams.”

That sentence was a nod to Taylor’s song Wildest Dreams which was released in 2014.

Kelce would thank his parents, Donna and Ed, and his brother Travis during the retirement speech.

He would officially announce his retirement 36 minutes into the press conference.

Since being selected by the Eagles in the 2011 NFL Draft, Jason would grow into being the face of the franchise.

The 36-year-old made seven Pro Bowl teams and was selected to six All-Pro teams.

Kelce also won a Super Bowl with Philadelphia in 2018.

He ended his career with the most consecutive starts with 157, an Eagles franchise record.

Jason will continue to appear on his popular podcast New Heights with his brother Travis.

The former NFL icon has a wife, Kylie, and three daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett.
